Celebrating 10 years of Routledge Revivals

Leonie Heath Marketing Assistant - Taylor & Francis, Library (Books)

This year we are delighted to celebrate 10 years of the Routledge Revivals programme and have created a special video to take you through the journey of a Revivals book.

Routledge Revivals is an exciting programme whereby previously out-of-print titles by some of the world’s most eminent academic scholars are made available again to everyone.

The Routledge Revivals programme was first introduced by Publishing Director Alan Jarvis: ‘I first got the idea for the revivals and reissues programme attending conferences and noticing that many papers were citing Routledge books that were no longer in print. We clearly had a great backlist of titles which were still relevant and whose existence in print had been brought to a premature end, and which had never been available electronically. The revivals programme was designed to put that right.’.

So far Routledge has reissued nearly 12,000 books and there are still many more to come. The programme spans the whole of the Humanities and Social Sciences and titles are available in both print and eBook format.
