Student engagement: an experiment

During the first half of 2018, Taylor & Francis visited three different institutions to speak directly with students about the resources available to them through their libraries.  Our goal was to generate awareness of the T&F resources students have access to, and ultimately drive usage of those resources.

Experiment

Prior to each visit, we prepared handouts containing information on the T&F products each school provides their students, as well as various marketing materials to promote our upcoming presence at each school.  We set up a table inside of each library, where we displayed product handouts, snacks, and giveaways.  We spoke with students about their research challenges and asked them several questions.
