Platform Migration Library Guide: Streamlining Your Transition
In December 2023 Taylor & Francis acquired 32 renowned peer reviewed journals from former biomedical publisher Future Science Group. These journals complement the existing range of over 340 Taylor & Francis medical and healthcare journals.
The way content from the previous publisher can be accessed has changed. From May 24, 2024, former Future Science Group platforms will close. Journals that were formerly hosted on these platforms will now have a new home at Taylor & Francis Online.
To support a smooth transition for you and your library users we have included essential information and steps you need to take to make sure ongoing access to these titles.
Redirects
Permanent 301 redirects will be set up at the title level starting on May 24. This will allow users to be easily redirected from the former publisher’s websites to their new locations on Taylor & Francis Online.
Managing an account on Taylor & Francis Online
A nominated person from your institution will need to be registered as an account administrator on Taylor & Francis Online in order to manage your organization’s account.

Checking access is correct
We have been working hard to make sure your access is transferred accurately to Taylor & Francis Online. Please do take some time to check it matches that on the former Future Science Group platforms.

Usage statistics
Taylor & Francis will retain limited access to usage statistics from the former Future Science Group platforms until May 2026 for calendar years 2022-24. This can be provided to on request, but libraries will not be available to self-serve this data after the end of May 2024.
Linking and discovery tools
KBART holding files will be made available to the following vendors: ExLibris – Alma; Summon/360/Intota; SFX; TDNet; Rialto; OCLC. They will also be available for you to download from Taylor & Francis Online. Further support is available here: How do I set up my link resolver?
DOIs and CrossRef linking will point to Taylor & Francis Online from 16th May 2024.
We are also working with Google Scholar to point users to Taylor & Francis Online.
